If Chang's defense is good, he has a chance to be a very good player, too. Plenty of power for the 20 year old.

Maybe tomorrow if they don't add Pearce. He'd give them more value than they can get from Gonzalez who has the world greatest SS ahead of him.
In fact, add Gonzalez to that trade package for Pearce: Erik/ Plutko or Merritt or Morimando/ Aguilar/ and any Rodriguez [N, or R or L] of their choice, or even all 3. That's not trash.

A fan took this photo of Nolan Jones yesterday evening in Arizona. Thought it was a damn good pic.

great picture. Could be a very good player someday, too. He's starting out as singles hitter who walks often. I suppose he'll be adding power as he moves on up.

On my phone there's a post that Indians have released Uribe to make room for this Guyer fellow.

Also that Rangers got Beltran and are in running for Lucroy.

2000 seconds to go.

If I'm a Hillcats fan, I will accept the loss of Lukes in lieu of Chang and Mejia.
Maybe Paulino is finally ready to return from rehab and the atrocious hitter Bobby Ison can play CF.

Tribe game is ugly so peeked in on the farm. At least there's some good things going on there.

Clippers win 1-0 on the back of a fine outing by Morimando. Yandy only had one hit again, he must be sick. But extends his streak to 20 straight games. Shawn Armstrong pitched his 12th straight scoreless game tonight for the save. He's been looking great lately and after seeing the bullpen tonight he is another guy I wouldn't mind seeing get a call up soon. Send Ansell Adams back to photography.

Ducks have night off.

Hillcats ... whose name will be changing soon, by the way. They had a competition and asked fans to put forth some ideas. They took their favorites and are having fans vote on them. The names aren't much better than the current so don't get excited. ... Anyway, they win tonight 5-4. Frankie only had the 1 single. Lot's of guys hit the ball well for them tonight though, including Bradley hitting his 20th homer.

Lake County heading into extras 1-1 on a great performance by Miniard on the mound.

Boom .... Napoli just tees off for Tribe. 7 more runs and we'll be right back in this thing.

Scrappers lose 3-2. Civale was smacked around a bit. But Krauth made his debut and didn't slow down a bit. 3 scoreless with 5 K.

Civale was smacked around a bit
You would think so from the 3 innings and 3 runs, but take a look at this surreal 1st inning by his "defense"Williamsport

Top of the 1st

Mark Laird reaches on a fielding error by shortstop Alexis Pantoja.
With Arquimedez Gamboa batting, missed catch error by Emmanuel Tapia on the pickoff attempt, Mark Laird to 2nd.
Arquimedez Gamboa hits a sacrifice bunt. Fielding error by first baseman Emmanuel Tapia. Mark Laird scores. Arquimedez Gamboa to 2nd.
David Martinelli reaches on a fielding error by first baseman Emmanuel Tapia. Arquimedez Gamboa scores. David Martinelli to 2nd.
Darick Hall reaches on a fielding error by right fielder Silento Sayles. David Martinelli to 3rd.
Lucas Williams grounds into a double play, third baseman Gavin Collins to second baseman Erlin Cerda to first baseman Emmanuel Tapia. David Martinelli scores. Darick Hall out at 2nd.
Henri Lartigue grounds out, second baseman Erlin Cerda to first baseman Emmanuel Tapia.

The next two innings, with Tapia benched, the Scrappers caught everything hit in their direction, although Civale eased the challenge a bit with 2 strikeouts. He allowed two singles and a double and walked none. Now up 19 innings, 16 strikeouts, 2 walks.

Krauth relieved him in his NYPL debut and again worked scoreless ball: 3 innings, 5 K, 2 hits, no walks.
2nd round pick Logan Ice with a pair of singles is 10 for his last 31 after a rotten debut.

among the Lynchburg hitters, Mark Mathias with a pair of doubles, now at 31. Santander with one double, also his 31st.
And former-almost-Brewer Yu-Cheng Chang with a pair of singles
