Above was written about 8 days ago. So why no news ? DFA usually lasts 10 days.

I believe I read somewhere that they've extended deadlines over the holidays so the 10 days plus holiday extension will end soon.

3. DFA limbo coming to a close:

The New Year has passed, and the baseball world figures to start kicking back into normal offseason form in the coming days. That means the waiver wire freeze that took place over the holidays should be coming to a close in the near future. As such, ten players who have been in DFA limbo will see their situations resolved in the coming days, whether that’s by way of an outright to the minors, the opportunity to elect free agency, or a waiver claim by another club. MLBTR’s Darragh McDonald took a look at all ten players in limbo last week, including former top prospect Marco Luciano and 2024 Guardians playoff hero Jhonkensy Noel. What’s next for this collection of players?

my phone's AI doesn't know when the extension ends. So I guess no one knows.

Kwan avoids abritration . Signs for 1 year for $7.75M. Which is a lot if all you look at is his .704 OPS. But that's not all there is to Steven.
He really does need to sustain his offense through an entire season. Last year he was .741 OPS per-All Star game. .655 after.

For Dodger fans, when payroll hits a billion dollars, you will always be disappointed that you didn't go 173-0.

Guy at MLB.com who doesn't seem to know much more than the amateurs projects starting lineup:
Kwan LF
DeLauter RF
Ramirez 3B
Manzardo 1B
Naylor C
Arias SS
Jones CF
Kayfus DH
Rocchio 2b

I sure hope not. Jones... please make him go away. Naylor 5th and Kayfus 8th?

I think Rocchio will be the SS. Naylor will probably bat 5th against RH pitchers. Fry against LH pitchers. I am going to predict that if Jones has an average ST they will trade him if anyone wants him.

If Espino makes it through ST and a team offers a good RH bat for him. What would you do ?

If Rocchio is SS does that mean you think Bazzana will make the team out of spring training? I don't think that will happen but if Travis starts out well in Columbus he could easily move Rocchio to SS and send Arias packing by the 4th of July.

As for Espino his ceiling is still very high. I wouldn't trade him. Sorry.
