7 hours agoThe Cleveland Guardians have promoted first base prospect C.J. Kayfus to Triple-A Columbus. Kayfus has enjoyed an impressive start to the Double-A regular season and is being rewarded with an early promotion. Through 18 games with Double-A Akron, the infielder has posted a .364/.475/.591 slash line with four doubles, four triples, and one home run. He has added 11 RBI and held a 14:11 K:BB. This is a nice improvement compared to the .263/.366/.470 line he held across his first 67 games at the Double-A level during the 2024 campaign.

Bo hitting finally has the potential to be so big. Great outing by Ortiz - the way Arias is looking that trade for Ortiz is looking golden

It's early but Gimenez batting .156 with .542 OPS. Arias > Gimenez

So really Ortiz is a freebie - every quality start he gives you (and yesterday was wow!) is a bonus.

Soon I expect to see Arias over to SS.

I agree you should see Arias with more time at SS.

Nolan Jones is just lost at the plate.

Schneeman finished (2-4 2R 2HR 5RBI) at the plate driving in all five runs for the #Guardians in the comeback win.

Time for Rocchio and one of the right fielders to head south to Columbus

Unfortunately one of those right fielders does not have an option. Not sure if Noel has one. Jones needs to be the one but will they DFA him ?

Bad timing to have Brito hurt right now. I have decided I do not want to see Arias batting near the top of the order.

Going to be interesting when Thomas comes off the DL.

Noel does not have an option and he would never make it through waivers. Unless there are more injuries I see Martinez being sent down and Vogt can keep giving Jones/Noel more attempts.
